Location: Common Street Spiritual Center, 13 Common Street in Natick.
Celebrate Renewable Natick’s Resolution Toward 100% Renewable Energy Adopted by Town Meeting!
Join Renewable Natick’s advocates in celebrating the Resolution recently passed by Natick Town Meeting that will propel our town toward 100% renewable energy! Natick now joins many towns and cities across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, across the country, and around the world, in declaring its intention to take measures to fight climate change.
The sparkling beverages will flow, as all are invited to toast this achievement on Sunday, January 27 at 3:00 PM, at the Common Street Spiritual Center, 13 Common Street in Natick. Light snacks will be served, as Renewable Natick supporters outline initial plans for implementing the Resolution, answer questions, and share inspirational stories.
Members of the Natick Town Meeting voted overwhelmingly on Oct. 18, 2018 in favor of Renewable Natick’s “Resolution to Adopt A Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction Goal.” The Resolution introduces a Net Zero Action Plan to eliminate or offset all greenhouse gases in Natick by 2050, and for residences and businesses to be powered by locally sourced and produced, 100% renewable energy.
The voting results of the Town Meeting were 88 for the Resolution, 12 against and 3 abstentions, with 103 of 140 Town Meeting members in attendance.
